   I ordered this for halloween as part of a Hotline Miami outfit, “Jacket”. Look it up if you are interested. Regardless, this is a nice rooster mask, it’s not comical in any way, so this was perfect for the more mature costume I was crafting. There are some minor nuisances, but I consider these par for the course, limited peripheral vision, and a strong rubber smell. Also, I received the mask very flattened. I stuffed it full of socks for a week or so to give it back some definition, as a perk, that absorbed a bit of the stronger rubber scent!

   Admittedly I have a fat head, it’s a curse. And when I slip this bad boy on one of the first things I immediately feel is that it completely hugs my head right where the beak is at. This wouldn’t necessarily be a problem but the eye holes for this mask are very small, greatly anticipate cutting bigger holes just to see and don’t expect peripheral vision. Also I would greatly suggest only wearing it for about 15 minutes at a time because it gets really hot.But honestly it’s all worth it, the mask looks awesome, nobody ever sees your eyes, and it’s just cool looking.

   I think this mask will fit almost anyone. I think I have an average sized head but it’s clear that it could fit someone with a larger head. Not too sure about smaller heads though. It does have a strong rubbery smell but of course there are ways to make the smell go away. You can easily see out the eye holes which are located at the nostril. I haven’t worn it for a long period of time but I plan to at Dragoncon. I’ll comment on breathability after the event. I’ll also mention if fake blood stays on it well.

   The only problem I had with this is that the mask starting flaking and the smell was really hard to get rid of but other than that this was perfect for my boyfriend’s Halloween outfit from last year (Of course Hotline Miami). We had fun scaring the living daylights out of people when they turned around.If you get this though, make sure you air it out at least a day before you wear it and you’ll get a hang of the eye holes

   Used this for my Halloween costume last year and it was GREAT, except for one thing, it was a little hard to breathe in. So I was taking it off and on CONSTANTLY. I suggest doing some bloody makeup under the mask if you will be dressed up as Richard, because it REALLY IS hard to breathe in. Quality and design of the mask was great other than ventilation, but it looks very well made! Nothing flops over, and I got QUITE a few compliments from it!

   The mask is very good for its price. Came out really fast (tho the tracking did not update worried me). It fits my head really well. Tho I wish it wasn’t fully hollow inside. Took me a while to straighten it a bit. The beak and comb should have some kind of filling inside it IMO. Overall the problems I have with the product and I can fix them myself for fairly cheap. What is seen on the outside is just perfect.

   personally I think this thing is ugly. My son wanted it for a Halloween costume some character on a show I don’t know that has a letterman jacket and a rooster head…Worked out well and he enjoyed. He was happy with the product. I don’t think he used it for very long stretches but it is a rubber head and I wouldn’t want him wearing it for too long. Worked as expected. Decent quality similar to local Halloween shop masks in quality.
