5 of the handles came unglued and came apart as soon as I took them out of the box. As soon as I glue the handles back on – I plan on using them. I bought 5 sets. It would be nice if the company who makes them would use proper glue to begin with. Other than the glue issue they are very sturdy and have a nice sound.

we bought these for our children’s program … but they were not very loud … looked great fantastic and realistic though!

Great size for adults, makes great sound. My only complaint is that the handles were not glued in well. both handles came out after a month (one came out before first use). I simply used better glue to bond them back in the maracas and they function fine.

When I received this item it was in pieces. they were just round coconuts handles where thrown in the box and was not smooth. rocks were all thrown in the box down the bottom. I had to get my own rocks to put inside and sand paper the handels and then put it all together myself. If not for the party I had the next day I would have sent them back.

The handles are very rough – will need to be sanded before my son uses them. One of them is very loose and we had to glue it back on the handle.

I ordered 3 of these for a dance performance for the kids. I didn’t open the box right away , I should have. The two that came togother where broken the 3rd one which I ordered prior came un broken but the wood handles were rough and needed sanding. I would have returned them but needed them for performance so had to repair them. Handles off and rough sand out of head.

This product may arrive with loosened handles (as mine did) however I still Love these maracas because I am familiar with them. I usually paint them but I apply glue and putty to the handles first. After that, they are perfect and I would purchase again.
