The wig was too bulky to fit under the Willy Wonka tophat I was wearing, so I ended up grabbing scissors and cutting a circular area out of the top (leaving a ring of hair around the perimeter). At that point, it was *perfect* for the Gene Wilder Willy Wonka effect. I’ve tried several wigs. This was the only one that worked for me.

Pricey, but it was worth it to see my son wearing it with his Willy Wonka costume. So funny. 🙂

Great wig. My son says it is a little itchy but I’m thinking a hair net underneath will solve for that. I was worried it would be too small but it fit my 8yr old well and he has a big head. With the hat on it really looks like the Gene Wilder’s Willy Wonka character.

worked great for my son’s willy wonka costume (10 years old)

This was for my great-grandson

Wild and messy, we ended up not using this wig on our young performer. It overtook his face and could not be contained. It was impossible to keep styled and just looked a mess. It may be okay on a larger person, but I would not buy again personally.

Good wig!

Just to clarify, this is not just a “boys” wig. My 5 year old daughter wore this for Halloween 2019 when our family went as Willy Wonka. After seeing the original movie, so wanted us to do Willy Wonka as our family Halloween costume. This wig was the best possible choice for her. It fit perfectly and it went so well with the rest of her costume. We won 4 costume contests!! The only complaint that she had was that it was a little itchy and it did get a little hot wearing it after awhile, but that was to be expected.
