   I purchased this for my sister’s son as he wanted to be a vampire for halloween. This costume was awesome!! Halloween is coming quickly, and there are so many costume options that it’s difficult to choose just one. If you’re looking for a scary classic that’s sure to be fun and turn heads, look no further than this Transylvanian vampire Costume.Everyone that saw him complimented him as the fit was perfect and the costume was very well made. He was so happy with the comments he wore the costume around the house when people came over to scare them. He loved it and I feel the money was well spent. This costume was awesome and you cannot beat the price!The material they used is Polyester for Transylvanian Vampire Costume. Costume sizes are different than apparel and usually run smaller, be sure to refer to the Rubie’s size chart and if your child is at the top of a range consider purchasing a larger size. Costume features white shirt with attached red and black vest with a long black cape with red lining and oversized stand up collar included.

   I was so nervous to read all the negative comments after I put in my order. But I was running out of time to look for costume for my son, I bet on this one. I ordered a Large for my 10-years-old who is a bit solid and big. We received the package and my son tried on it. He looked so handsome in it and he just loved his Vampire look then. The pants are a bit too long and the shirt is kind of short. Of course, after the costume has been stuffed into a small bag, it would be wrinkled and it is totally understood. The cape is long enough, not too thick or too thin and the collar works well to stay standing up. The medallion is nice, beyond my expectation. With this price, I am contented. For our case, my son just need to wear another pair of black pants which he already has and he is set for his Halloween look.

   Super cool costume, my son is SO excited about it!Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the fit is reasonably awkward – he tends to wear a size 10-12, so I ordered him the large. The pants fit his waist perfectly and they are a great stretchy material, but the shirt (the vest and white long sleeved shirt underneath it are attached) is too short, just barely covers his stomach down to his waistband even though the shoulders and sleeves fit him perfectly. Highly unusual to have a shorter shirt and extra long pants. I know it’s listed as L being closer to 12-14 so the pants being too long wasn’t a huge surprise, but I can’t imagine any kid in that size who wouldn’t have an issue with the shirt length.The shirt is not stretchy at all; while I think the silky material looks cool, it’s crazy wrinkled and I’ll probably have to iron it after each time he wears it. And, he’s not used to wearing restrictive clothing so I think even wearing it to school on Halloween and attempting to play at recess will be a challenge for him.But, he LOVES it – way cooler than any vampire costume we saw in the few stores we’ve checked out so far. The medallion was a nice touch, he really loves it!

   We just purchased this for my sons Halloween birthday party, Halloween, and a school event. As soon as he saw it he was head over heels! He loves it! Begged to wear it. I definitely wanted him to try it on and it fit him very nicely with room to grow. I love when they’re a bit big because he uses them for imaginative play after Halloween. Anyway, 10 minutes in the costume and the chain slipped through the threads and was no longer attached to the cape. Then the medallion on the necklace came off. I know costumes are not meant to be high quality clothing that can be worn daily. But I would like to think that it would last longer her than 10 minutes. I also did not think sewing them back on would be very difficult, however the chain links were almost all opened on one end and the threads just keep slipping through. This was difficult to deal with and quite frustrating. The medallion was much easier to repair.

   We did not know what we wanted to dress up for Halloween this year and at the very last minute I searched amazon and ran across this kid’s costume. I was a bit hesitant due to the reviews but went ahead and purchased it. The shirt does run a little short but I just paired it with a white undershirt and it worked great for us. The pants were thin flimsy material but very comfortable and had an elastic waistband. My son and husband had so much fun dressing up as vampires. The gold chain is a little flimsy but it was okay. It lasted through the night and did not break like other reviews had mentioned. Loved the cape! So much fun! The ruffles made the costume look so good! Bought a size medium for an 8 year old.
